When I was New to Who, I thought the show could never live up to the hype. How could a family friendly show with weird, lanky actors be so great? Yup. I was wrong.
The thing that I’ve come to love about the show is the quality of the writing. Instead of a regular “Thankful Four” Friday post, I thought I’d do something a little different and share four examples of amazing writing on the show that is subtle, humorous, honest and heart wrenching.
What are you favorite moments in Doctor Who? I tried to find the clip where the Doctor rocks baby Alfie, but YouTube failed me, otherwise it definitely would have been on the list.
It wouldn’t be Friday if I didn’t share some links. You can find my non-Doctor Who writing on the interwebs elsewhere:
We’re enjoying 30 days of Doctor Who during the month of March on Being Geek Chic! Since the show is celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary and Series 7 is rebooting at the end of the month, it seemed like the perfect time to reflect on why we love the Doctor, wish we could apply for the job of Companion and create our own Sonic Screwdrivers. So while we can’t board the TARDIS, we can spend a ridiculous amount of time replicating Amelia Pond’s signature. Tell your friends and stick around for more. Allonsy!
