Freebie: Arrow Valentine printable (with cool pencil feature!)
Excuse me while I freak out about the adorable-ness of these amazing printable valentines from Sweet Muffin Suite.All you do is print, cut out the two sections in the center (being sure not to cut all the way through your paper!) and then sneak a pencil through the center. I love that they’re styled with cute sparkly pencils.
Great for kids and grown-ups. Honestly, I’m mildly obsessed.

Roundup: The wonder of eCard apps
I’m not an overly sentimental person AND I’m cheap. That’s why I’m often irritated when I see that my BF has spent $3.99 or more on a Hallmark card and then I feel obligated to keep it. Enter eCard apps. They’re my new favorite thing.
Here’s some of my favorites:
Red Stamp
Cost: FreeThe best thing about RedStamp is that there are so many free options. If you want to spend money, you can buy one of the packs of new cards in a variety of themes. Plus, they are always updating the app with new options according to the season. In fact, there is a ton of gorgeous Valentine options available right now. The downside? It’s not available on the Android Market.
Cartolina
Cost: $1.99The vintage charm of the designs on Cartolina are a fun mix with the high tech delivery method. The Eiffel Tower, bushes of roses and weathered paper make these cards stand out on the retina display. I also love how many of the designs have a stamp too.
One standout of this app is that it doesn’t save your cards to your photo gallery, like RedStamp does. Instead it saves it to your clipboard and you can paste it wherever you choose. I actually prefer this method.
Again, this app isn’t on the Android market either. Be sure to check out their FREE app, Cartolina Postale, which allows you to send photo postcards to friends from all over the world using your phone. Each post card costs $1.99 to print and be delivered in the US and $2.99 everywhere else. (If you like the shipped and printed idea, also check out Cards.)
fCards
Cost: $0.99The simple photo based app, fCards allows you to create both a front and back to your eCards, so they look like virtual post cards. I also like the fact that you can move your text and change your font, a feature that the previous apps don’t allow for.
Again, no sign of fCards on the Android Market at this time.
(I honestly tried to find a good eCard app on the Android Market, but the only app that seemed to have reasonable enough reviews to feature was eCard Express. The designs, however, I could not justify featuring. They’re just bad.)
Just think of all the money you could save by making the switch to eCards.

Unconventional Valentine’s for your nerd love
The big, happy, heart day is coming sooner than you think. Get ahead and do something awesome this year. Forget the standard Hallmark greeting. Here’s some innovative new ideas:
Make a video. Tell a story. Get the help of your kid. Make a LEGO stop motion video. Either way, it’s a memento that can last forever on the interwebs. Check out this example:
Make a treat. Food seems like the most practical gift ever. A heart shaped pizza. A cupcake with a message on it. It’s the perfect blank slate. You can make it cute. You can eat it together. You can take a picture of it and laugh about it later. I really can’t imagine anything more sweet. (what a pun!) Pinterest is full of good ideas on this one.
Get texty. I don’t know a single dude that wouldn’t love to get a “sext” on Valentine’s day. (Just saying.)
